Our Story
Hi! I’m Kirsten, a self-taught seamstress and fashion designer with a love for creativity, sustainability and storytelling through clothing.
My journey began in 2001 when I was just 11 years old, driven by an innate curiosity and a desire to create something uniquely my own. From those early days, I found joy in transforming thrifted clothes into something new and exciting. I would begin with basic alterations and experiment with new skills that would totally transform thrifted pieces. Up-cycling remains one of my biggest passions, as I love breathing life into pre-loved pieces while honoring sustainability and authenticity. With no formal training in fashion design, just a basic Singer and the motivation to learn through trial and (plenty of) error, I got to work on what would surpass 20,000 hours of authentic development of my craft. This unconventional approach also gifted me with the ability to draft my own patterns from scratch, adding an extra layer of freedom to my designs.
I became a mother at 18 which brought its own lessons in creativity, patience, and adaptability—qualities that I bring to every waking hour of my life and work. Balancing motherhood with my passions has never been easy, but it fueled my determination and deepened my appreciation for resourcefulness, resilience, and the beauty of personal growth. To come this far as a mother, business owner and creative has taught me that no obstacle is insurmountable. Motherhood has shaped me into the person and designer I am today, teaching me the importance of crafting a life (and wardrobe, of course) that reflects who we are.
Every piece I create carries a piece of my journey, from the first stitch I sewed as a child to the designs I bring to life today. Whether I’m up-cycling a vintage find or creating something entirely new, I aim to make clothing that feels as good as it looks and make you feel like you.
Thank you for joining me in this space. I hope my designs inspire you to embrace your own uniqueness and the beauty of second chances—whether in clothing or in life.
Let’s create something amazing together!
